About Our School
Our dream started in 1998, in a house at Toitskraal quarters in our house, with 5 children (nursery school). With hard work, we had 99 toddlers at the end of that year. We had to get an extra house. Many parents then asked me to start a primary school for their children. After many upsets and disruptions, we finally succeeded and registered a 32-scholar school with the Mpumalanga Department of Education.
Since then our school has grown to over 1200 students from Pre-school to Grade 12. Here at Elshadai Combined School, we strive to achieve excellence, social justice, fundamental human rights, equality and making a sound contribution to learner’s diverse potential by providing a positive and safe environment, a balanced curriculum and teaching and learning of the highest quality.
We have a lovely group of teachers. They are really committed and have a lot of passion for their work. We try to get involved with each child as much as possible and as much as needed. Each child undergoes professional medical assessments (where necessary) – this helps us to target the real problem areas and enables us to help the student go from strength to strength. The results we achieve are amazing! It is only when you get involved emotionally, that your education efforts succeed
The school does not have boarding facilities, but we make use of Private Boarding houses which is situated next to the school grounds and opposite the road from the school.
